Harvesting Pointed Leaf lettuce (A-choy).
Seriously, the name got me giggled. At first I thought it was a joke when I saw it on Asian market. Not sure why they name it “vegetable A” 🤔 Do you know?

With Napa Cabbage I either harvest the whole head of cabbage or just the outer leaves as needed. How would you do it?

If you planted indeterminate tomato 2-3 months ago, your plant should be well on its producing stage and growing like crazy. Indeterminatr vine can grow 8-10+ feet and keep growing suckers. When it has overgrown the support, what would you do? Cap it? Let it grow crazy? Let’s hear it!

Harvest time - sometimes clients don’t have time to harvest. So I do it for them.

I love it when client has a separate prep kitchen where I can wash and prep the harvest. It is a “nice to do” steps for their convenience. ☺️

👏🏻 Plan 👏🏻 your 👏🏻 garden 🪴

When you are setting up a kitchen garden, always think about how it gets watered. Here’s a couple of irrigation types:

💦 drip system
💦 ollas/reservoir

💧 Drip irrigation system is connected to a garden faucet or garden valve and controlled by a timer. You control the time, duration and frequency of the watering.

💧 Reservoir irrigation such as ollas is more like on-demand watering system. The water is always there inside the reservoir and slowly permeate out to the soil. The plants wrap their roots around the ollas and draw water as needed.

One of the most common reason for a garden fail stems from irregular or insufficient watering. When there is not enough water, plants become weak and more susceptible to diseases and pests.
