Produce Cooperative would like to reduce and/or eliminate: ~*~ Waste of any kind ~*~ Excessive fuel used to transport foods from afar ~*~ Diesel fuel used to truck and fly in produce from other countries ~*~ Unrecyclable plastic bags congesting our landfills ~*~ Pesticides, preservatives and other dangerous chemicals ~*~ Money spent on unhealthy processed foods And would like to promote: ~*~ Bringing back a sense of community and connecting with one another ~*~ Cooking delicious meals using the freshest and local foods ~*~ Spending time outside, walking, exercising and enjoying fresh air ~*~ Creating recycled bags from unused clothing and other natural materials ~*~ Generosity ~*~ An economically sustainable system to grow and exchange produce

OUR ULTIMATE GOAL: NO MORE FOOD DESERTS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! It makes no sense why our Angelenos have little to no access to healthy, nutritious fresh produce in their immediate neighborhoods. No one should have to drive or take a bus ride across town to buy over-priced foods that will make their families healthier and stronger.
