Over the last ten years, newly built homes have accounted for a growing share of the housing inventory in the United States, with a significant increase in mid-2020 after the pandemic began.

Homebuilders have been working overtime to compensate for the lack of available homes on the market and meet the high demand.

As the number of newly built homes for sale has increased, the percentage of newly built homes sold has stayed relatively stable, at around 11%.

This disparity is yet another sign that homebuyer demand is higher than supply.

Perhaps the most notable change is the giant, flashy rooftop of Los Angeles recently crowned the tallest building.
