The 3rd International Battery Japan 2012 opened at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center. Visitors of the center came to BYD’s booth and were treated with a host of Home Energy Systems (HES), using BYD portable solar panels, BYD inverters, and other green home energy products.

Participating in the exhibition for the first time, BYD attracted the attention of hundreds of attendees, industry peers and the media. TV Tokyo in Japan interviewed BYD executive Liu who stated, ”BYD’s marketing strategy in Japan, as well as the global market, is to sell cutting edge products that do not harm the environment.” The BYD Iron-Phosphate battery system is a break-through rechargeable chemistry that is one of the first environmentally-friendly battery systems without any heavy metals, toxic electrolytes or caustic materials.

Juwi solar Inc. (JSI) announced the completion of the Cactus Garden Solar Energy Generation Facility, a 600kW power plant located in Henderson, Nevada on four acres of land owned by Mars Chocolate North America. BYD, a leading diversified technology company, supplied the solar modules for the project.

BYD PV modules have successfully passed the climatic tests of Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE. The test sequences conducted were the Enhanced UV-Test (six times standard requirement), the thermal cycling test (three times standard requirement), and the damp heat test (three times standard requirement).
