Trichomanes ankersii - a first time for me seeing this species in the Ecuadorean Choco. This species is definitely one of the more unique film ferns in its genus with its climbing and shingling habit.

Dicranopygium? Sp Puerto Quito - we’ve had a couple of these guys in our American greenhouse for a few years now and only recently we are offering small divisions and seedlings. This larger cyclanthe grows happily near our fogger which is the closest I can replicate its natural environment for usually growing in splash zones in and near waterfalls as well as in and around creeks and streams in the dark understory. We hope to be able to spread more of these around as it is one of the neater looking cyclanthes in my personal opinion.

Elaphoglossum sp. Choco - we have this very unique fern from the Mindo region that is usually found growing as a terrestrial in clay or fallen tree debris. Personally it’s one of my favorites we grow just because it’s not so big in size but also the coloring of the fronds can develop a deep purple stripe down the middle. This is a showy species for the collector that will be available in our upcoming inventory update later this week.
