Hello “The Makers Monument,” created by by FKA was commemorated on August 7. We love this!

Luxury European fitness club John Reed redefines the gym experience with live DJ’s, luxurious interior décor, and choreographed lighting. Lighting can be designed to promote visual, biological and mental health. In fact, light is the greatest regulator of the body’s sleep-wake cycle. Our sense of comfort, safety and alertness can all be affected by the design of light in the built environment. In this seminar we will review the basics of how light affects our biological and behavioral processes and look at some pilot projects incorporating circadian lighting design. A general overview of daylighting and electric lighting principles as related to light and health will be presented along with an overview of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Light concept and updates on the latest research from the GSA's Office of High-Performance Buildings. We are honored to work with IQHQ, a premier life sciences real estate development company, and Gensler to provide lighting design for this iconic development site along San Diego’s waterfront.
