During the filming of The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel (playing Jesus) lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning, accidentally scourged with a whip twice, leaving a 14-inch scar, had his shoulder dislocated, and suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia from hanging mostly naked on a cross for several hours outside. His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to have 2 open heart surgeries after the production! The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2-month filming time.

The Passion of the Christ is the highest-grossing rated-R movie in the US, of all time, at $370.8M! Worldwide it grossed $611M. Most importantly, it reached many souls around the world. Mel Gibson paid $30M out of his own pocket for the production because no studio would take on the project, and Jim Caviezel was warned not to take the role of Jesus because it would ruin his career.

Tell the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to reject GMO trees: https://tinyurl.com/NoGMOtrees The GMO industry is trying to get the FSC to give the thumbs up for GMO trees. GMO tree farms will be synthetic, monoculture "forests" that are sterile, completely absent of life. And in some cases, these trees will be genetically engineered to be herbicide-tolerant. That's right. Imagine a sea of glyphosate-tolerant trees sprayed with toxic glyphosate or other chemicals from planes -- the same as a GMO corn field except on a much more massive scale. We already have problems with toxic herbicide use in agriculture, with glyphosate, 2,4-D, dicamba, glufosinate and other toxic chemicals polluting our soil, water and air. And now they want to grow synthetic forests and spread their poisons even further.

This week the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is meeting to decide whether to support field trials of genetically modified (GM) trees and to consider whether paper, toilet paper, lumber and other products made from such trees should be allowed to be FSC certified.
