The laborer is responsible for assisting in day to day operations. The laborer will carry move sawn stock from point a to point b will be responsible for keeping work sites cleaned and clear If debris and assisting customers as needed. Must be able and willing to perform the following:
REQUIRED
Lift 50 plus lbs in repetition
Pull push or shove 75 lbs
Work in adverse weather conditions
Have reliable transportation
Be available to work rotating shifts
Be available to work past scheduled shift time
Able to and willing to comply with safety standards
Ability and willingness to comply with quality control standards and procedures
Able to work in loud dusty environments
Able to operate machinery
Ability to communicate and understand the following:
Hand signals
Verbal
Written communication
Radio communication
Willingness to comply with PPE requirements
Ability to perform job duties while standing, kneeling, or bent
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Prior sawmill experience
Prior construction/carpentry experience
Ability and or willingness to learn computer programs to simplify operations
