WE FOUND BURIED TREASURE?!

at least, it’s treasure to us! Today, during some construction, a piece of a wall was taken out next to a concrete slab outdoors, and this huge mess of lids was revealed. Now these leads are for a shape that we don’t make anymore, but nonetheless, it was pretty amazing to find so many intact under there. Can you believe that? Should we sell these lids?!?!? They are pretty special now.

We think they’ve been under there for at least 25 years?!? Also check out that Louisville Firebrick !!

Still made by hand, just as Mary Alice Hadley intended. 💙

Since 1939, our pottery has been made and hand-painted right here in Louisville, Kentucky. Nearly 90 years later, we're still doing things the old-fashioned way, with skilled hands, a whole lot of heart, and a love for the little details that make every piece special. Some things are simply too good to change.
