Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Thursday - Saturday 8:30am - 4pm (hours may vary based on events and store needs)
Starting Pay: $15 an hour

Job Description: Hadley Pottery is seeking a friendly, reliable, and community-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate to join our sales room team. This role is customer-facing and ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, supporting local businesses, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.

The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking in a retail environment, has strong customer service skills, and is confident using technology including Shopify POS, email platforms, and customer communication systems.

Did you know Mary Alice Hadley first began making pottery for the houseboat she shared with her husband on the Ohio River? Her earliest designs were inspired by nautical life, and we’ve been creating coastal-inspired pottery ever since 1939.

Our new fish plaque recently swam into the collection and is available now at Hadley Pottery, on our website.

Since the very beginning, M.A. Hadley pottery has been made in the same Louisville building where Mary Alice Hadley first started handcrafting pottery in the late 1930s.

For generations, artists and artisans have walked these same studio floors, painting, glazing, kiln firing, and carrying forward the creativity and craftsmanship that Mary Alice built from the ground up. There’s something incredibly special about knowing each piece is still made where the story began.

We’re proud to continue her legacy every single day by creating hand painted pottery with the same care, tradition, and artistry that has defined M.A. Hadley for decades.
