Audiowood produces custom, handcrafted audio and AV equipment, focusing on turntables. We are located in New Orleans.

Our designs are featured in The New York Times, Metropolitan Home, California Home and Design, Wired (Germany), Visi (South Africa), Velvet (Italy), Design (Taiwan), Diva Wohnen (Austria), and on BoingBoing, Gizmodo, DesignBoom, NotCot, DailyCandy, and dozens more international magazines and blogs. Recently, Audiowood turntables appeared in Star Trek: Into Darkness and in Bushmill's "Sounds of Since Way Back" advertising campaign with Elijah Wood. With the exception of InSound, HiFi Heaven and select art venues, Audiowood now sells direct in the US. Our international dealers are Saavinskaya 23 in Moscow, and The Audio Spot in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

For the first time in a while I’m working on a new speaker enclosure design. In this case, it should be a nice blend of woody and industrial. The first pair will be a pretty small speaker with walnut faces and a center structure of ebonized oak, but the idea is that I can make this design for almost any existing speaker design in bookshelf or floorstanding forms, with almost any types of wood, etc. should be done in a few days, so stay tuned…

Hey folks. So, tomorrow night I’ll be joining a bunch of other Jamnola artists and doing some live additions to my installation which celebrates New Orleans live music venues. Event is from 5-8 and admission to Jimmy Murphy is only $10 for this special artist event!! ⚜️🎉💥

It’s been a kind of crazy last 2 weeks with a trip to Arkansas to visit in-laws and ride a bike, but I’ve managed to produce quite a bit…pictured are a new turntable plinth that I think is pretty funky, a new model of BJ’s that is off to New Jersey, and a new painting of M. Chomps Elysees that will be living in Cali soon. Onward!
