Hello Food Foresters, I have a unique opportunity I want test, would you be interested in working for fruit trees? Due to an injury I am looking for an able-bodied helper for outdoor yard work / nursery work in Loxahatchee. Preferably male due to the physical nature of the work. Roughly 4-6 hours per week. This gig will likely run 2 months maybe more. There is flexibility on dates and weeks and I don’t have an exact schedule yet. I can pick up locally if needed, must have basic experience with lawn tools and equipment especially the weedeater. But I’m happy to teach.

Mainly:

* Weedeating / zero turn mower, leaf blower
* General cleanup, pulling weeds
* Moving plants and materials
* Light landscaping / outdoor labor

Instead of cash payment, I’m offering fruit trees and rare tropical plants from my inventory at an exchange rate of $20/hr in plant value.

Example:
2.5 hours of work = $50 in plants/trees.

It was a very busy day today, I got two lawns maintained as well as an 8 fruit tree plant install completed, sometimes ya gotta watch the sun set while working, several annonas, atemoyas, cherilatas, even a sugarlata. Got them in the ground, some soil amendments, nice deep mulch ring with a heavy and deep watering. All in a days work.

It’s been a very long day. Over 12 hours in total of test driving and negotians, but I’m excited to say I brought home my first brand new truck, it’s a 2025 Toyota Tacoma with 30 miles on it. It was a long and tedious process for my final decision and the staff at southern 441 Toyota took great care of me and got me an incredible deal .
