Good afternoon Floks, The latest reports indicates that FEMA will be directed to the state level instead of a national basis. In an emergency situation, the state runs the recovery operations with a little help from FEMA. Not as much as in the past. For us this means a transition period, that if history serves correct it's never as smooth as projected. It's important we prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I'll add a plug here, Beeline/Pico propane is who we recommend to fill your propane tank 250,500,1,000 gallon or more. You need to of course, own your tank and it is not leased. They are prompt and efficient,561-832-3092.Be patient as they are too transitioning to one company PICO. NOAA, not this NOAH alludes to an active season. This as is you updates throughout the season. Good morning all, It's that time of year again! CSU has called for an above avg. hurricane season. These are only estimates, but please be prepared. If you need to shelter in place have at least 3-5 days provisions, including food, water, first aid kit, dog and cat food, medications and other such critical supplies. These supplies should be in place all year round! You're in Florida and like my grandmother used to say, "when in Rome, do like the Romans do". As for generators (portables) keep your generator at least 20 feet away from ALL doors and windows (openings of any kind including soffit vents), carbon monoxide detectors are sold online or your local hardware store. Be prepared now and avoid panic buying at the last minute. I cannot stress this enough avoid the first few days after a storm to get supplies, it's probably too late and panic sets in. Watch for dreaded tornadoes those are more intense, especially in your backyard like mine was a few weeks ago. On storing your generator, please use a premium stabilizer. Briggs and Stratton makes a really good one. I know I'm plugging Briggs here, but there are others. Thank you all for your support. Take care, be well and be safe

Good Morning Folks, Colorado State University now foresee"s 18 named storms up from 13. As always when running your portable generator please do not run the generator in the rain,keep it 20 feet front your home and neighbors home. Use appropriate sized extension cords to avoid voltage drops to your appliances. When storing use A fuel stabilizer I particularly like Briggs and Stratton as it stays well mixed when stored, follow instructions on label. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best as it only takes one!
