Have an onion on the shelf that’s sprouting? Peel it and plant it. One store bought sprouting onion will create a garden that will continue to grow forever.

1- peel off the outer layers
2-if you have to cut into the layers do it shallow to not cut into the roots.
3- split the sprouts and drop them in water

I’ve made 2 different size boxes. The large garden box is approximately 5’ 10” long, 3’ wide, 11” tall. The smaller is just half as wide. We currently have potatoes, kale, and broccoli In the large boxes. The smaller box is our herb garden.

These boxes are made by me and my family on our front porch. It’s all treated wood and outdoor screws.
