🚛 KBI IS HIRING – DIESEL & HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC 🔧

Kershaw Builders, Inc. (KBI) is looking for an experienced, dependable Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

What you'll be working on:
🔧 Diesel trucks, trailers & service trucks
🔧 CAT and other heavy construction equipment
🔧 Air brakes – drum & disc
🔧 Electrical systems – batteries, alternators, starters & lights
🔧 Diesel engines – fuel & air inlet systems and engine components
🔧 Aftertreatment systems – DEF, DPF & regenerations
🔧 Preventive maintenance & annual vehicle inspections
🔧 Roadside and field repairs as needed

What we're looking for:
✔️ Strong diesel and heavy equipment troubleshooting skills
✔️ Ability to diagnose and make repairs independently
✔️ Knowledge of truck, trailer and heavy equipment systems
✔️ Dependable and safety-minded
✔️ Must provide your own standard hand tools
✔️ Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus

Kershaw County held a ribbon cutting for KC West! We added 250 paved parking spaces and an additional entrance/exit on Whitehead Road! Just in time for fall ball! ⚾️⚽️🥎

Kershaw County officials held a ribbon cutting at the Kershaw County West Park in Lugoff (today).

Improvements include 250 paved parking spaces and an additional entrance/exit on Whitehead Rd.

Representatives from County Council, County Staff, Kershaw County Recreation Commission, Legislative Delegation, KBI Construction, Health Services District of Kershaw County and MUSC Health along with interested citizens were on hand for the ribbon cutting. The park is open and ready for families to enjoy. 🇺🇸

Please use caution if you're traveling on E. DeKalb Street in front of Burger King.

The City is preparing to repair a partial sanitary sewer collapse located in the roadway. The area has been safely plated while preparations are completed.

Weather permitting, repair work could begin as early as today and is expected to take place this week. Because of the location of the repair, temporary lane closures will be necessary during the work.

If you're traveling through the area, please slow down, watch for the steel plates, and use extra caution. We appreciate your patience as this important repair is completed.

On Friday, we had the opportunity to spend the morning at Horse Creek Academy for Career Day. It was a full-circle moment for our team—getting to showcase our equipment to students at a school we were proud to help build.

Then on Saturday, we spent the afternoon at Firehouse Subs in Camden for their Touch-A-Truck event.

We truly enjoy being involved in and giving back to our community. Thank you to both for having us!
