Finished cleaning up tenons. I originally cut them to 2 inches. I don't have a router bit that is long enough to safely cut a 2 1/8"- 2 1/4" mortise. I ended up cutting tenons to 1 1/4*.

One end down, seven to go.

Cutting mortises in trestle pieces. They aren't the prettiest, but they will work for what I need. I made cheap mortising jig to cut them.
I'll glue the three pieces together for four assemblies. Also I have to cut tenon's on the upright pieces and get everything squared up.

Dust collection 4.0. originally I started with a shop vacuum connected directly to tool, 1.0. I upgraded by running a PVC manifold 3" with 3" to 2 1/2" sweeping adapter connected to a bigger shop vacuum ($10.00 pawn shop find), 2.0. I upgraded from there to a Harbor freight 2 h.p. dust collector, which I modified with a canister filter and made it two stage, still connected to 4" manifold. 3.0. Today I completed the 4.0 version. I ran 4" PVC with 4" wye adapters(2). One has a 4" to 4" blast gate other has 4" to 2 1/2" blast gate. I installed 4" to 2 1/2" blast gates for table saw, one on each tlflip tops cart for disc/belt sander, planer and band saw. I tested the system with planer using the 2 1/2" hose. Significantly less sawdust and shaving on the floor and around the tool, compared to 3.0 setup. I expect even less mess when I use the 4" hose. I'm quite pleased with the results

I got more lumber to rebuild the trestle ends for table. I've researched and will cut mortises and tenon's to assemble the horizontal and vertical pieces. I'll use glue and dowels to secure the tenon in the mortise for overkill. Once those cute, I'll install braces with glue and screws counter bored and fill holes with dowels. I expect a HUGE improvement.

I followed assembly instructions. I think the failure was attaching the braces to center post first. I will recut and rebuild. At least I rurnt free lber and not hardwood. They look decent, alone, but definitely not square not identical.

I got the two trestle pieces glues and screwed. Tomorrow I'll fine tune and finish assembly the second picture is what final assembly will look like.

I have all pieces cut for trestle assembly. I will start layout, marking for dowels tomorrow. Drill dowels holes, glues and pin nail. I have to get another 2"x10"x 8' for the top. I have three and was going to use a 2"x8'" for fourth board, then I saw it wasn't going to be symmetrical, can't have that, the OCD won't allow. I will just use it to make the bread boards.

Running boards threw the planer, first to flatten one side, then I will run them through to achieve the thickness I want. Shooting for
1"- 1 1/4". These are for the dining room table I am building. The melamine board is a sled, the table boards are shimmed essentially using planer as a jointer.

Using reclaimed lumber to build a farmhouse table, I will need to purchase a few more 2"X4"s. First I will see if I can salvage some shoddy 2"x6" boards. The top will be constructed of 3 2"x10" and one 2"x8" to get the width I want. The plans I down loaded are for an 8 foot table, I will deviate and make this one 6 foot. The base will be a trestle. Similar to one shown. I will correct any potential flaws and later construct one with cherry wood, maybe another species. I haven't built anything from hardwood since woodshop, in Jr. High.

I removed 4"-2 1/4" adapter from big gulp on miter saw station and installed 4" hose and a 4" blast gate. I'm hoping this a a couple of other mods will help pull dust from miter saw.
