👨‍🍼Happy rainy Wednesday before Father's Day.👩‍🍳

It's is prep day...no gardening to distract me😄I made caramel sauce, Raspberry filling, Meyer lemon zest and lemon curd, chocolate ganache, weighing ingredients, mixing Croissants dough balls, baklava filling and puff pastry dough.

We are celebrating Fathers this weekend.

The bakery will be open from 1030 till 1.

The pre order cut off is noon on Friday. I will send a respond to your request👨‍🍼.

Good Saturday morning👩‍🍳🥐

Here are pictures of the bakery case before we fill orders. Brioche is still rising, cinnamon Croissants are still in the oven.

Bakery Hours today 930 till 1130. At 12 I have a late croissant class...both air conditioners are running🥐👩‍🍳

🌳good Friday morning👩‍🌾👩‍🍳.

Sorry about the late post, we were assessing the tree damage. My 6 hydrangeas are squashed...my barn cupola is a little askew😊...my black eyed Susan vine column is bent. Everything will grow back and is fixable. No birds, cats or people were hurt😊

It looks like there was other tree damage in the area Nothing like the tornadoes north and East of here.

The bakery will be open from 930 till 1130. I have a late season Croissants class that starts at 12.🥐

Here is tomorrow's pastry list:

Looks like a small tornado came through just our yard. Another 70 foot maple tree blew down on top of hydrangeas, my barn cupola 1/5 of the garden is covered. I just finished working there this morning getting ready doing final touches to my garden so we could open it this morning. I guess it will be a while.

And I thought I was done with yard cleanup.

Newburg garden update.

I saw my first monarch🦋 yeah!

I am converting over to perrenials, so far 3 garden beds are done. Wisteria is getting ready to bloom, roses are blooming. Lilly of the valley are done I am already missing the sweet scent. The irises are blooming I can now smell the grape kool-aid. The hellebores are in full bloom. The Virginia bluebells and the trilliums are done.

Good morning, the bakery is closed tomorrow. We are knee deep in garden cleanup, planting and finishing the 2 level catio.

The bakery will be open Saturday June 13th for brioche and Croissants from 930 till 11. I have a late season Croissants class starting at noon.

The full bakery will be open Saturday June 20th for Father's day pastries.

The garden will be open when all the wisteria is in bloom in the next couple of weeks...if you love wisteria and want to see how this variety thrives in this zone. I currently have 9 vines. 6 are Blue Moon, 1 is Aunt B, 3 are new Amethyst Falls a non invasive variety. I will post when they are in full bloom. You can stop by and take a look💜

Sucess.....we caught the other pregnant tortie cat this morning. She is safe in the catio. We will also be spaying and neutering her and her babies.🥰

Newburg kitten update🙂. The babies are 1 week old. Their eyes are open and they are on the move. They are so fun to watch.

So far 3 are boys.🥰

We are hoping to catch the other pregnant female cat today. 🤞

Mommy cat and her 5 kittens are all doing fine. We just discovered another pregnant tortoise colored kitty 😔. We will try to get her in the catio so we can spay and neuter her and her kittens. We have had 48 cats spayed and neutered so far.

Good Sunday morning👩‍🍳 The bakery was closed yesterday for 2 graduation bakes. 15 dozen cupcakes, 5 dozen cream puffs, 5 dozen eclairs, 10 dozen graduation cookies. More graduation bakes this week.

The full bakery will be available next Saturday May 23 for memorial pastries.

I will post a list Monday with a cutoff of Wednesday at 5 pm.

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ we are trying to get ahead of kitties born in our little community. This winter 7 new hungry cold cats/kittens showed up. One little kitten was found frozen at the bakery door. So far 4 have been trapped spayed and neutered. 1 female was pregnant we were able to isolate her in our catio. She gave birth to 5 healthy kittens. They will be available for adoption after they are spayed and neutered. Please consider adopting one of these cute babies. We currently feed and care for 34 cats and 1 raccoon. We are at capacity and feel overwhelmed. Your bakery support provides for these cats. Thank you!🥰

💐good morning👩‍🍳Here are a few more Mother's Day pastries that will be available tomorrow from 1030 till 1230.

Triple chocolate ganache brownies, pecan pie puff pastry, strawberry rhubarb bars, strawberry rhubarb scones, lemon blueberry scones, Raspberry white chocolate scones and rhubarb turnovers.

There will be a few more pastries added tonight.

Please pick up your orders inside...Glenn and I will be working the counter. You can bypass the line if you just want to pick up your order.
