✨ Before & After ✨
Sharing another transformation from the same project, this time the fireplace. What was once a blank wall with a simple TV console is now a warm focal point that grounds the space. I designed this stone fireplace to bring balance, texture, and a sense of natural beauty, not to mention how amazing it is to have a wood-burning fireplace in WI, while complementing the home’s storybook aesthetic. The mix of materials, from the layered stone to the warm wood mantel, adds depth and softness, creating a space that feels calm, inviting, and connected to nature.

Thought I would share a before and after from my recent project. I designed this custom stairway to feel nature-inspired while tying back to my clients’ original storybook concept. The new design opened up the room considerably, replacing the enclosed wood structure that had been there before.

It’s always amazing to see how much a single element like a stairway can transform a home. This change completely reshaped the space, making it both functional and beautiful!

A Temporary Home Turned Full Transformation!

What started as a simple fixer-upper quickly became so much more! Originally meant to be a temporary home while my clients renovated their main house, they fell in love with it, so we took the updates even further.

We completely renovated the kitchen, refreshed the main bath with a deep soaking tub, floating wood vanity, and hidden storage, and brought warmth with nature-inspired tile. Wallpaper in the great room added comfort and familiarity, while the outdoor porch became a four-season retreat that lets them enjoy nature year-round.

Now at least they have a cozy and inviting place to stay while gearing up for round two of renovations!

Before & After: Family Room Transformation!

My goal was to create a beautiful, seamless space while keeping it cozy and inviting. So, what did I do?

- Painted the brick white for a fresh, airy feel.
- Swapped traditional shelving for floating shelves to lighten the space.
- Used neutral, high-performance fabrics for durability and comfort.
- Layered in texture with faux fur, rattan accents, thoughtful accessories and a rug that adds just the right pop of color to tie everything together.
- Added a curved, organic-shaped chair to soften the lines and create a more natural flow.

Now, the room feels warm, balanced, and effortlessly inviting! My client loves it!

But beyond just aesthetics, design is an investment. This home received five offers over asking and sold well above listing price!

Thoughtful design doesn’t just make a space look good—it adds real value to your home financially, mentally, and physically. ✨

I’ve always believed that our homes are more than just beautiful spaces—they reflect our lives, shaping our energy, well-being, and success. I’ve been reading Your Home is a Vision Board by Marie Diamond and recently refreshed my own space with this in mind. Our spaces—and we—are constantly evolving, so it’s important to refresh them at least once a year.

Designing with intention is at the core of what I do. My goal is to create spaces that don’t just look good but feel good—aligned with who my clients are and what they want to bring into their lives. Every detail—from layout to materials to energy flow—impacts how we experience our space and, ultimately, our lives.

Wow, I was blown away by how much silk changes the look of a rug! It softens the pattern, diffuses the shapes, and adds a gorgeous sheen, giving it such a rich, natural feel, while 100% wool keeps the design much more defined.

This rug is for a girls’ bunk room, so I’ve been researching less expensive options for my client. I was amazed at the difference silk makes! Now just waiting to hear which one she picks—can’t wait!
