Our Story
Matt and Andre met back in their early college years when Andre first interviewed Matt for the Branch Manager position at one of the nation’s largest residential painting companies. Matt was a skilled carpenter with excellent credentials in all things contracting but Andre still sent him home as a “maybe” candidate.
Andre started to realized that both of them shared the same values of integrity, hard work, and a dedication to getting the job done, no matter the circumstance. Andre hired him on the spot and the rest is history. These same shared Midwest Values ring true in their current roles as co-owners of 3rd Gen Painting and Remodeling.
The two share the same passion of building upon generations of integrity, honesty, and trust. Where others make excuses, they find a way to make it work.
Andre and Matt come from strong family values and a reputation for integrity and hard work. Matt’s grandfather built his own construction company from the ground up, while Andre’s mother built her own residential cleaning company as a Polish immigrant and flipped houses on the South Side of Chicago all while raising her two boys as a single mother.
