Hey gardening friends!! ‼️Big, yet temporarily unfortunate, announcement ‼️

We’ve experienced a couple of amazing growing seasons where lots of iris and perennial orders were fulfilled…

And we’ve also experienced many setbacks that were too large for our family to immediately come back from: deep freeze a couple winters ago that decimated our shrub stock, two separate storms that completely collapsed our greenhouse frame and the immediate need to focus on family and our home as house repairs were/are absolutely necessary and time consuming.

With that being said, Greenewood Farm and Nursery’s physical location is sitting dormant until we can provide adequate stock to fulfill our customer’s needs. We have decided to continue with the nursery, however we will be strictly online come spring 2025.

We aim to provide only the best quality nursery stock and hope that you will continue to patronize us next year! Thank you for your understanding and we wish you and yours a safe, happy and healthy holidays!

Not our usual kind of post (although it’s been a while)! Yard sale today at our greenhouse: 1122 County Farm Rd, Madisonville, TN 37354. All proceeds go towards our baby boy’s birth in August!

Yup, we do this too! A lady I’ve been acquainted with a few times before needed some TLC for her flower bed. She intends to plant hummingbird and butterfly loving perennials, of which needed better drainage to prevent soil based diseases.

The flower bed was extended by a foot from the foundation, removed a non-live cable from the middle of the bed, the clay underneath the existing soil was mixed and amended with mushroom compost and garden soil, and the pavers replaced. All in all, took about 3 hours for one person to complete and left this lady happy as can be!

Hey friends! Wanted to let you all know that we are now closed the rest of the season to focus on growing more for next year!

Our greenhouse needs to be completed, many more seeds need to be sowed and shrubs propagated. We look forward to offering an even better experience next year! Thank you to all of our wonderful customers that we’ve had this year!!!

Hey friends! I just got a phone call with a lady asking if we’re open today. Our hours are by appointment and I appreciate the phone calls so much!!

We’ve been a bit delayed with the weather and don’t want to disappoint anyone when they come out to visit us. With that in mind, around April 17th, our inventory will be ready for sale and we’ll have much more to feast your eyes on.

Here’s a sneak peek in our “hillbilly greenhouse” we constructed on our back porch to combat the cold nights. We’re transplanting more goodies for you today and working more on getting our main greenhouse ready for full on growing. We thank you for your patience and cannot wait to serve you!

All plants will be available after March 15th and will be ready to transplant after the last frost to grow beautiful produce, flowers and herbs in YOUR garden!
