I'm starting to get blooms on seedlings -a bit early, although this particular one is not quite a week earlier than last year. It would be nice if the cooler weather in May slowed them down, but many probably had already started developing their scapes. This is a cross between two of my seedlings. If it ever amounted to anything, I'd have to go to past years' records to find the crosses of the parent seedlings.

I have been meaning to register this flower, because, although it is not distinct, it is quite pretty, has great plant habit, and is a fabulous grower. I want to name it something with a color word and a word meaning a large group, like "Raspberry Convention", but it's not raspberry, and I don't know if convention is exactly the word I want. I'm not sure what word would be the right color. If anyone can think of a good color word and group word that would fit, you can have a free plant.

First decent seedling to bloom this year. Unfortunately, its decent bud count is probably due to excess rain, since last year and the year before the branches and buds were very limited. I only kept it because I liked the bloom.

Two views of the same flower, Watermelon Lime Sorbet. I absolutely love this flower! I waited for years before I registered it, because it really doesn't have many blooms. But with a face like this, I really don't care. Every bloom is a rare gift.
