***WARNING/SPOILER ALERT - BLOOD***

A while ago I got interested in doing closed terrariums. So I did a lot of research and got all the stuff I needed. It was going great. I was having a lot of fun. Then came the time to put the cork in…

Well, pushed too hard and the terrarium shattered and left a roughly 2 inch cut in my right hand. So did I go to the emergency room right away? Nope. So what did I do? I FB called one of my friends who’s a nurse. I figured I would need stitches, but wasn’t sure if I had to get to the ER. After her facepalming and showing her hubby, she said I could go to urgent care. So I grabbed all my bloody towels and drove to the closest urgent care. When I got in I explain what happened, told them I’m on blood thinners and showed them the blood oozing out of my hand. After still having me fill a form (thankfully I’m a lefty) they took me back and I got about 3 stitches. I now have a scar with a great memory behind it. And the shattered terrarium? I kept it and put it right next to a completed one. I gave them art plaques.

Trying something different for these silver thicket cuttings. They’re succulents, so normally you wouldn’t put them in water to propagate, but I’m not having luck doing it the old fashion way. Lemme know your thoughts or a successful way you’ve done!

Got these two amazing Rose of Jerichos off Amazon! They’re sitting in water now so hopefully they open up fully by tomorrow!

A little bit about this plant: in its native habitat (Western Asia) these plants lay in puddles and sprawl out. Once the puddle is dried up, the plant curls up (like in the picture) and the wind blows it to another water source and the process starts all over! They have a very small root system, so they do not stay in place.
