I got a chance to do a super interesting project. My dear friend had an old cedar armoire sitting on her back deck for storage. She had the idea to use it as a sink base for a new outdoor kitchen. It’s a little stressful cutting into an early 1900’s piece but we took it as a chance to repurpose an old falling apart piece and give it a new life. On top of that we repurposed some of the old deck boards to make beautiful rustic countertops with a sink cover to provide a little extra top space or it could double as a serving tray. Here’s to years of entertaining on the new outdoor party space!

A few years ago there was a terrible storm and flood on the Blanco river. Absolutely devastated Wimberly TX. This was a large Cypress tree that came down during that flood. I was fortunate to happen across it for a project for my second Mother Elaine DiRico. She had an idea but let me run a little wild with it and we came up with a wonderful bathroom vanity. Everything except the cabinet box was processed out of this slab and it was thick enough to carve the sink right into the slab. Kudos to her for the inspiration

Been awhile, tons of projects since my last post but wanted to share this one.
Redoing a deck from old 2x6 cedar to new composite. I was able to salvage the deck boards and got to make a nice outdoor table for them. It’s lovely to be able to reclaim things for a new life and develop new character. Have a load of boards left if anyone is interested in a custom piece.

Tried out a little something different on a siding repair. Siding from the 60’s is hard to find an exact replacement and after having a small amount after installing a door where there used to be a window. We covered a hole from an old speaker box. Instead of the boring ol square patch that would stick out like a sore thumb I gave some grain matching patch a try. It’s still a tad visible but you have to be looking for it. I love it!

Finishing up a great little bathroom addition on a guest house. Overcoming a lot of obstacles with trees and getting the sewage out to the city was crazy but we got it done and with the excellent choices made by the home owner, it came out beautifully! Did I mention it has a custom built sauna!! The custom cabinets aren’t too shabby either.

Another project for one of my favorite customers( I might say that to all of them) they are a joy to work for and have been very fortunate to have been able to do a lot of work for them.
