The gardens are now closed for the season. We will be evaluating whether to open next year. The cost of doing business has now exceeded the benefits of keeping the business going. We will post an up date on our decision in 2026. Thanks for all support in the previous years.

CLOSED this week!! Last night we received over 3" of rain in just an hour!! Property has standing water everywhere. Sale beds washed over with flood water. Had just applied deer repellent in morning!! I just can't catch a break.😿

Update to the daylily blooms or should I say NO daylily blooms. The deer have ravaged my daylilies!! I have little to no blooms for anyone to see. I have been living in what smells like a Liquid Fence jug!! I have been spraying but with little success. I have spoken to another grower and they have had the same problem, to the extent they are going to install electric fencing!! This year has been the worst. Soooooooo, Please call before you come 410-239-7009 to get the latest status of the blooms.😽

With one full knee replacement complete I have decided to open this July!!! We open July10, 2025 thru July 27,2025, Thursday thru Sunday 9:30 to 3:00. 😽

2024 - The Cats Meow Daylily Garden will not open for the 2024 daylily season. Bad knees and impending surgery makes it impossible to dig daylilies. Hoping next year will be better.

After three days of heavy rain our pond is back!! It has been holding water over the last few months but these last three days was icing on the cake!! It is now filled to the brim and running out the overflow. So far we have tadpoles but no crayfish.😽

What is left of our spring feed pond!! Fish and crayfish eaten by heron. This is what 8" of below average rainfall looks like! Plus to add insult to injury we lose our maple tree during what turns out to be the fringes of a tornado which went through Glenville PA.

The Cats Meow Daylily Garden is now closed for 2023. It has been a good year selling daylilies, but a hard year on the plants. Not much rain and to much humidity.

Looking forward to 2024 season already. Lots of daylilies need dividing, so hope next year will be a good year...with more rain!!

The Cats Meow Daylily Garden is now open for the season. We will close for the season on August 28,2022.

The gardens will be closed August 6,2022, so I may attend the Free State Daylily Sale and Auction at McLean Nursery, 9000 Satyr Hill Road, Parkville MD. The public is welcome. Sale starts at 11:00 AM and Auction begins at 1:00 PM.

Currently there are no COVID 19 protocols which need to be followed.

Daylilies will not be dug on Heat Advisory days.

COVID 19 PROTOCAL
Daylily sales by appointment only for 2021 season, during regular operating hours. Open June 3,2021 through August 29,2021, Thursday through Sunday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We will no longer be offering tea in the garden. We are both getting older, so we have decided to scale back our work load. It has been a pleasure serving all our customers who came for tea over the years. But with COVID 19 still affecting how we do business, we decided this was the logical action to take for us. We are still looking forward to sharing our gorgeous gardens we you and educating all about the most gregarious of all flowering perennials the daylily.
