A&S Property Maintenance and Management is looking to add a couple more positions to our team.
Some general qualifications we are looking for include, but are not limited to:
Duties/Responsibilities:
•General knowledge of construction operations and procedures
•Strong communication skills and ability to work with supervisor, property owners and current tenants
•Self-starter with good time management skills
•Capable of receiving and following instructions
•Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and machines.
•Ready the job site each day for the current project by preparing materials, tools, and equipment
•Efficiently measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, drywall, and other building materials
•Has a thorough understanding of building principles and methods
•Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines
•Inspects ceilings, floors, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures
•Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
•Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels
•Skill or experience with remodeling
•Ability to complete general building maintenance
•Willingness to learn new job skills and show initiative to grow both individually and as a respected member of our company
••Snow removal is a must: often this means long and late hours immediately after snow fall. Work hours and times will depend fully on the weather
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
•Must be able to safely work with sharp tools and power equipment
•Be willing and able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Experience preferred but not required:
•Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed
•Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building
•Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required
•Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary
•Perform basic electrical repairs including changing out lights, switches, receptacles, etc.
•Knowledge and experience for diagnosing, installing, replacing and/or repairing basic mechanical, plumbing and residential electrical systems.
