Dear Valued Clients, Employees, and Friends.
I am writing to formally announce my retirement from The Wiring Guy powered by Electronic Life, effective December 20th, 2024. After careful consideration, I have decided that it is time to embrace the next chapter of my life, allowing me to focus on family and travel. My wife, Lori, and I are excited to embark on this journey while continuing to call Manhattan our home—a community we have cherished for nearly 40 years.
Reflecting on the past 27 years as The Wiring Guy, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible opportunities and relationships this journey has brought. The unwavering support from the Manhattan community, my loyal clients, and the dedicated employees who have worked alongside me has made this career immensely fulfilling. Your trust, encouragement, and partnership have been the cornerstone of our success, and for that, I am forever thankful.
A special acknowledgment must go to my wife of 38 years, Lori. For over 24 years, she served as my Office Manager and Administrative Assistant, ensuring the seamless operation of our business. Her commitment allowed me to focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients. Lori retired earlier this year, and we both look forward to this next phase of our lives—spending more time with family and traveling.
Earlier this year, I sold our business to Electronic Life, owned by Josh Gorrell, based in Topeka, Kansas. Over the past 7 months, I have worked closely with Josh to ensure a smooth transition, and I am confident in his ability to continue serving our valued clients with excellence. Electronic Life, a 22-year-old company, has the expertise, dedication, and resources to build upon the foundation we’ve established. Josh has shown a strong commitment to the Manhattan community by purchasing all our business assets, retaining the local office, and supporting our current team while planning to expand our technical staff to meet future needs.
I am especially pleased to announce that Jon Nester, my lead technician and a trusted member of our team for many years, will transition into the role of the Manhattan General Manager for Electronic Life. Jon’s extensive technical knowledge and passion for customer service make him the ideal leader to carry forward the values and relationships we have built. To all my clients, employees, and friends: thank you for your trust, loyalty, and support throughout the years. I will forever cherish the friendships and memories made during my time as The Wiring Guy.
With heartfelt gratitude and best wishes, Aaron & Lori Nickell
