Spent some time helping out the local youth softball league getting their field ready for the season. The field was under water during a flood last year so it needed some attention.

New trailer available. This is a 17.8k tilt deck with a 14,000 lb load capacity! This trailer can legally carry a 60 series excavator or full size track loader. This trailer makes it possible to haul this size machine and still stay under 26,000 lbs.

$120 a day or $375 a week.

Thanks to Rife Run Excavating LLC and Millers Firewood for pictures hauling a KX057 and SVL97.

Finally just about finished up with this one. All that’s left is is final grading around the asphalt. This one included new sewer laterals, a large stormwater retention pit under the parking lot, sub base, paving and striping.

Pennsylvania first spring is here, so it’s time to start planning those outdoor projects.

Excavator availability update. The KX040 has returned from its long term rental and is now available as part of the regular rental fleet.

Although not available at this time for rent, I have added a KX057 to the fleet, which is currently out on a long term rental. Eventually, this machine may find its way into normal availability.

Back in March I was asked to look at a property that had an area with about 6” of standing water and spot where the mud was about knee deep. There was also constant water running across the driveway. Admittedly, I thought we were looking at just some regrading for the area with mud and standing water and reworking the spring on the other side of the property. I ended up finding that the wet area on the other side was all spring fed and putting out much more water that I ever would have imagined. After putting in a drainage trench and regrading, this yard is now completely dry. A triaxle actually drove through where the mud was originally knee deep to deliver the top soil and didn’t leave any ruts at all. No one ever expected to get this much dry yard here. Thanks Stay-AT-Swatara for the opportunity.

This project isn’t done yet, but at least got the water under control. They literally went from nearly a foot deep of standing water to a usable yard. We found 8 springs constantly flowing, but were able to redirect it all through some drainage trenches. Once all the mud dries up, I’ll be able to finish cleaning it all up and finished up.
