Just a reminder about the proper way to clear snow from your driveway!

Recently, the Manistee County Sheriff's Office has been contacted regarding the increasing number of driveways being cleared by pushing snow into and across the roadway.

We would like to remind everyone that section 257.677(a) of the Michigan Motor Vehicle Code prohibits the shoveling or plowing of snow or ice onto any road or highway, it also prohibits the deposit snow on a road or road shoulder in a such a way that it blocks motorists' views of traffic.

While it may be convenient to plow snow into, across, and along road sides, it creates unsafe driving conditions.

So I was driving on Sunday night around 8pm and I saw this river. I pulled over like a crazy person and ran out to get some shots of the sunset reflecting off of the river. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
