HUMMINGBIRDS! It's time, to put that hummingbird feeder out. They travel 1400 miles to migrate back each year. They remember every feeder, they come back to the same spot. I have Robins (they winter here, I feed them mealworms in the winter), Tree Frogs (I have a fountain and birdbath they love), Hummingbirds: that come back every year because I take good care of them.

What does it mean to take good care of them: 1. Put the hummingbird feeder up early as they have a LONG journey coming back to your yard. Leave them up late into the fall - till there is a hard frost (Thanksgiving), because the born that year need extra time to get big enough to make the 1400 mile journey.
2. Consider getting a feeder like below because (I have this one and love it), because it keeps the ants/bees out because of the design. https://a.co/d/0da9nZkc
3. Change out the syrup 2-3 days when it is hot. 5-7 days when it is cooler. I make up 4 cups and leave it in the frig covered. I clean them well with dishsoap. I put 1 cup in each feeder, then 2-3 days later, clean and fill up the feeder.
4. Have two feeders 10-20' apart (they are ver dominant).
5. Plant bright colored perennials that they love. Have me come plant those perennials in your yard! Where do you get those perennials in Mankato: Edenvale Nursery https://share.google/ZZWC6nAERa2EMG982

Are you looking to buy that gardener a Christmas present. Well...here is advice from a Landscaper what I recommend.

What to buy? Notes URL
Shovel Hands down the best one. For being a women, I need the handle to hold onto as I jump on the grated metal thing so I can put my full weight into what I am digging up or dividing. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Razor-Back-30-in-Wood-D-Handle-Digging-Shovel-43201/205350358
Trowel This has been the best trowel I have ever had. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-11-25-in-Multi-Function-Stainless-Steel-Garden-Knife-GD210313/317436410
Gloves In the summer I prefer these light weight gloves. In the spring / fall I may use a heavier glove. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Digz-Women-s-Large-Nitrile-Coated-Gloves-3-Pack-79882-024/301119896
Rake I like that I can spread it out or go small to get material out of plants. https://www.homedepot.com/p/63-in-Steel-Handle-Metal-Leaf-Rake-Adjustable-Telescopic-Garden-Rake-for-Lawn-Shrubs-and-Small-Areas-HY911-13/338646772
Pruner I use this the most when I am pruning bushes or cutting down perennials. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Corona-ClassicCUT-2-75-in-High-Carbon-Steel-Blade-Cut-Capacity-of-1-in-with-Full-Steel-Core-Handles-Bypass-Hand-Pruner-BP-3180D/204162650
Lobber When you are dealing with a big bush, this tool is awesome. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Corona-XSeries-2-1-4-in-Cut-Capacity-High-Carbon-Steel-Blade-With-Non-Slip-Grips-Bypass-Lopper-AL16249CC/321932900

Not as pretty as last night. You can't see them from the naked eye, most of the time. You set your phone to night mode and take a picture. Make sure you're facing north and away from the lights. I would go out now until 10:00 o'clock when it's gonna start getting cloudy.
