This Camillus, NY bathroom remodel transformed a dated family bathroom into a fully modernized and highly functional space.

The project included:
🔨 a complete gut renovation down to the wall studs
🛁 replacement of a leaking bathtub
🚽 relocation of a problematic wall-mounted toilet to a conventional floor-mounted comfort-height model
🪛 subfloor repairs
💧installation of a custom hardwood vanity with an Onyx Collection cultured stone vanity top
💡 upgraded lighting and fixtures
🚿 and new bathtub surround in custom Onyx Collection cultured stone wall panels

The finished bathroom retained its original footprint while dramatically improving functionality, reliability, comfort, and long-term durability.

For lighter updates that keep all plumbing in the same location, permits are often not required. Because every town and village follows its own rules, homeowners should check with their local building or code office to confirm whether a permit is needed for their specific project.

This East Syracuse bathroom remodel transformed an aging builder-grade bathroom into a custom space centered around an Onyx Collection walk-in shower. The project included a complete renovation with new luxury vinyl tile flooring, a custom Onyx Collection vanity top, updated plumbing fixtures, lighting, drywall finishing, paint, and a heavy glass shower enclosure.

Although the remodel was ultimately a success, it also reinforced an important lesson for our team. A flooring style that looked beautiful on the showroom floor ultimately failed to meet our expectations in the field.

We don’t expect homeowners to identify products that may become problematic over time—that responsibility belongs to us.

While the homeowners loved the design and elected to keep it after repairs, the experience led us to remove that particular flooring style from our catalog—a reminder that real-world installation experience should always shape the products we recommend.

Homeowners researching grout-free shower systems often end up comparing two brands: Samuel Mueller and The Onyx Collection. Every detail matters—including the finish carpentry.

When the homeowners of this beautiful 1938 Colonial contacted Bath Pros after reading through our online reviews, they knew their guest bathroom had simply reached the end of its useful life.

The finished bathroom is unmistakably modern. At its center is a designer porcelain enamel bathtub surrounded by full-height Onyx Collection cultured stone wall panels featuring the classic Subway Tile pattern in Platinum. A custom pony wall, matching pillar, and extra-wide Onyx Collection recessed niche maximized both function and storage. To finish off the bathroom, we selected a 30-inch Fabuwood Allure Galaxy vanity and paired it with a custom-manufactured Onyx Collection vanity top in Platinum.

Behind the finished surfaces, the bathroom also received updated plumbing where necessary, new electrical work, improved lighting, a properly vented exhaust fan, fresh paint, finish trim, and durable luxury vinyl plank flooring designed to provide years of reliable service.

Our goal wasn’t to recreate a 1938 bathroom. It was to build a modern bathroom that respected the craftsmanship and character of a nearly century-old home while providing the durability, storage, and functionality today’s homeowners expect.
