There are men and women we’ll never meet who made sure we got to wake up this morning in a country that’s still ours.

They left families behind. Kids who grew up with a folded flag instead of a father or mother. Wives and husbands who learned what an empty side of the bed feels like for the rest of their lives. Parents who outlived their children.

They did it so we could live the way we live. Work our jobs, raise our kids, argue about small things, take a quiet Monday for granted. Freedom isn’t a word to them. It’s what they paid for with everything they had.

Today we remember them. And we say thank you, to them, and to the families who are still carrying it.

What Hole?

Michelle had a wax ring fail on her toilet. Water got in the wall, a plumber came out and handled the supply side, and she called BrownBoot to put everything back together.

Ceiling patched, wall closed up, upper cabinets re-hung, range hood back in place, countertop run finished out. Clean. Done. Like it never happened.

Sometimes you pull up a floor and find a whole different job underneath. 😳

Family Floors LLC was brought in to replace the flooring — and when they started tearing things up, they found a subfloor rotted straight through. Like cardboard. Years of water damage from a shower pan that had been quietly leaking since the previous addition was built.

That’s when the homeowner called BrownBoot.

We took out the subfloor and the old shower completely. Brought in Capozzi Flooring to handle the shower tile — because when you want it done right, you bring in the best. Family Floors LLC came back and laid the floor. Every trade did their part, and this is what you get. 🥾

This is how it’s supposed to work. Good contractors, no shortcuts, one hell of a result.

Bare bones to built right. 🔨

This back porch was rocking exposed OSB and raw rafters — functional, but rough. We came in, ran pre-stained charred pine ceiling boards wall to wall and wrapped the posts and fascia clean. Customer had their electrician handle the recessed cans and ceiling fan, and when it all came together — that dark, rich char with the warm lighting? Hard to beat. Real wood, real character, built to last.

Covered porches like this are money — all-weather outdoor living without lifting a finger once it’s done. If your patio cover is still showing raw lumber, let’s fix that.

Failed Shower Base 😨

This shower was installed about 10 years ago — and it wasn’t done right from the start.

Improper waterproofing and a poorly installed v***r barrier led to failure over time, causing damage beneath the surface that you wouldn’t see until it was too late.

We tore everything out, replaced the damaged subfloor, and are rebuilding the shower base the right way — solid, sealed, and built to last.

Getting close to the finish line on this one.
