We are a 25 minute drive from Corning, NY and a 45 minute drive from Williamsport, PA. Being a small nursery, we do not currently have hours open to the public. We do however accept requests to reserve a time to visit our nursery. We also sell at native plants sales in Pennsylvania. Our mission is to offer plant native species that will thrive in northern Pennsylvania. We sell our nursery stock at

native plant sales and by appointment at our nursery in Mansfield from May to October. We sell only native perennials, trees, vines and shrubs.

It's been a very long time since vendors sold the American chestnut on city sidewalks. It's no longer the variety whose smell some people associate with Christmastime as it wafts from street carts. Because it's virtually extinct.

But memories of the American chestnut's legacy keep resurfacing for the researchers who want to bring it back.

Researchers have hit roadblocks with attempts to breed or genetically modify a version that can withstand the invasive blight that has hammered the species since the early 1900s. If and when they do find the right variety, they'll need to figure out how to plant it and help it thrive in forests that are under pressure from climate change, globalization and development.

Excited for the market this afternoon! We have a wonderful selection of native plants, including spicebush starts, trees, shrubs, and perennials. Our Oswego Tea (Scarlett Beebalm) is ready to plant, freshly harvested from my garden. Each plant is $2, and they come in a bag, ready to take home and plant. These mint family plants spread easily and attract hummingbirds with their beautiful blossoms!

Friendly reminder: We won't be at the market next week (6/20), but we'll be back one last Thursday (6/27) before returning in September for the fall planting season. Don't miss out!

Daylily is a very popular ornamental, prized by gardeners for its hardiness and versatility.

This invasive perennial spreads easily to form dense patches that displace native plants, upsetting an area’s biodiversity ➡️ https://bit.ly/2SjRoqa.

A native alternative is the black-eyed Susan, which has beautiful blooms during a similar time of the year. They also provide food to helpful pollinators!
