Hey everyone!

Today’s post is gonna be a little different - it’s not about us (at least mostly😉)! I wanted to share a little local gem with y’all that many of you may not know about…

A few years ago some friends of ours had a dream and started a u-pick berry farm, Lone Star Blackberries , in Mountain Grove. We just took the kids out there this morning to pick some blackberries, and my are they GORGEOUS! Huge, juicy, super sweet berries - and you can fill a bucket in like 15 minutes because did I mention they’re HUGE!?! And only $15 a gallon! It was definitely worth the trip out there.

And just to make it better… We talked to the owners and worked out a little special for you guys - if you go out and pick blackberries in June (that’s 2 more weeks y’all) just mention that Josh and Sarah from Pigeon Creek Greenhouse told you about them, and you will get 5% off all your berries!

If you’ve been looking for a fun and productive summer activity for you and your kids to enjoy, this is it! And don’t wait, the blackberries are in their prime right now. Click the link below to go tho their website for more info:

Looking to the season ahead... What's happening in the greenhouse this week?

As we are starting to wrap up the spring season here at the greenhouse, we are busy planning for the seasons ahead - planting, building, and restocking. I wanted to share a little update with you and give you a sneak peak into what you can look forward to at the greenhouse here in the upcoming seasons.

Here are a couple of highlights of what we’ve been working on:

•The rest of the mums for fall sales got planted last week - so now we are tending those babies and watching them GROW! It is always so rewarding to see the baby plants take off and double and triple in size over the first few weeks.

•The first batch of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. is up and growing in preparation for YOUR fall gardens this summer. Fall gardening is one of my favorite gardening methods - look out for a write up on why in the next few weeks!

•Fall foliage, flowers, and other plants for fall planting and decor are in the works! We're talking fall grasses, perennial herbs, fall blooming annuals, and more!

•An exciting new building project at the storefront is starting in the next week or so - look out for progress updates this summer!

•And don't forget about our..... Spring Clearance Sale - 40% off ends this week (through June 12)!

All remaining plants in the greenhouse are 40% off till the end of the week!

You don't want to miss out on the amazing end-of-spring sale! This is the perfect time to take a look at your garden beds, landscaping, planters, etc. and fill in gaps, replace struggling plants, and figure out what you are still missing - all for a STEAL!

And if you're feeling behind and haven't gotten those plants you've been dreaming about planted yet, don't despair! The growing season is really just getting started and there is still so much time left in the year for growing. Our average first frost date is mid-October here in Mansfield, meaning you still have around 130 frost-free growing days left in the season for growing. You are NOT too late to get those flower, herb, or veggie plants!

We still have some gorgeous geranium baskets, mixed hanging baskets, wandering jew baskets, and planters available, all 40% off as well!

Come on out and see us! We are open 5 days a week - hours are as follows:

Sunday 11-4
Monday and Tuesday 10-4
Wednesday - closed
Thursday and Friday 10-4
Saturday - closed

Blessings,
Sarah - for the whole crew here at Pigeon Creek Greenhouse
