An important thing i do with the peppers is to acclimate them to their outdoor conditions.
Even though these won't be planted until June, conditioning them to the outside elements help build stronger "trunks", helping to withstand the periodic gale-force winds.

It's that time of the year to trim, train & treat your fruit trees before the fruiting buds wake up.

I usually trim fruit trees to an "open-vase" structure to increase airflow and for the sun to pe*****te the canopy with light & warmth.

For Pears & Apples, or any other fruit tree where fruit appear on the same fruiting spurs year after year, I like to train the scaffolding branches to stretch out to around a 45° angle. I use my self named "untal stretch" method to espalier the branches with rope & stakes to setup the fruiting branches for maximum fruiting potential.

If I need to treat the trees (pest & disease), I use horticulture oil or copper fungicide.

If you need helo with your home orchard, let me know how I can be of assistance.... time is ticking before fruiting buds start swelling as the weather gets warmer.

In Irish folklore, a "circular ring of trees" was a sign of a fairy fort. A place where faeries lived and the area was considered sacred. So often on farms, the fields would be cultivated around the fairy fort to avoid bad luck.

On the Farm, right at the end of the last row of Apple trees, a ring of staghorn sumac exists. At the beginning of the video, I imagine this is where the faerie lives... I get creeped out walking by it sometimes and I usually avoid that area.

It's cool to think though, that this fairy fort is a passage for the Bucks to scratch an itch, as they make their way to the other side.
