We are now in the month of Thanksgiving 🦃 and in our haste have neglected to post about a very special project we are thankful to have been a part of in early October 🍂.

Each year the Lennox Feel The Love 🥰 program accepts nominations for deserving families in our community to receive a brand new Heating and Cooling system from Lennox for FREE! Nominees are matched up with a participating dealer who donates the labor and materials and the rest is history...Feel the Love?!?! 😍

This year, we were thrilled to be paired with and able to provide a brand new Air Conditioning system to our friends (and customers) Jeremy and Carrie Hancock and their kiddos Dylan and Tessa!

If that's not enough to fire 🔥 you up, check this out! After notifying the Hancock's that they'd be receiving a new Air Conditioner at no cost, we determined that the existing AHU in the attic was not compatible with the new A/C. We called up our friends from Famous Supply and without a second of hesitation they committed to providing a matching Blower and Coil from The Unico System at no charge!!

It's times like these that we're thankful 🙏 to work with such great manufacturers, vendors and people like Lennox, Famous and Unico.

SIDE NOTE: Dylan is a guy that does a ton of online research on HVAC and Plumbing equipment. In our many years of knowing him he's always been a big Lennox guy. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face once he got his very own system!

Tomorrow is the day! Our very own Kyle Smeltzer is taking his shot at the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce’s Hot Dog 🌭 eating Crown 👑, all to benefit United Way of Ashland County Ohio. He’s verrry serious 🧐 and excited 🙌 for the opportunity and double digit dogs are a given!

Yesterday afternoon several members of our team took some time to participate in the United Way of Ashland County's 32rd Annual Kay Conrad Day of Caring! We headed North towards Bailey Lakes for the day and washed windows 🪟, trimmed bushes ✂, pulled weeds 🌿and raked leaves 🍂. We love being able to help people in our community in need and even better that it was an absolutely beautiful afternoon! 😎🌞

We’re not quite ready to start thinking about the white stuff ❄️, but our Commercial Plumbing team has been busy lately setting catch basins and trench drains for a new ODOT 🚧 facility in Mount Vernon. This time next year this area of the garage will be hard at work prepping their plow 🛻 and salt 🧂 trucks for the winter 🌨️!

A great time was had by all at our Kris Shaffer Memorial Employee Appreciation Day! Special compliments to chef 👨‍🍳 Josh and Beth for introducing us to the Hammerschlagen 🔨 game! We didn’t capture any pics, but the ice cream/sundae 🍨 🍦 bar was a hit too! We’re so appreciative for the hard work and efforts of each and every one of our employees, and it’s the least we can do to take an afternoon each year and celebrate them!

This day is named in memory of 30+ year Comfort Control employee Kris Shaffer who passed away following a courageous battle with cancer in 2023. Kris embodied our core values of Customer Service, Ownership, Mastery, Family, Openhanded, Reliable and Trustworthy LONG before listing core values were a thing and he remains an example to all that knew, loved and worked along side him!

Today is a special day at Comfort Control! Our teams will be taking a well-deserved break to enjoy our annual Kris Shaffer Employee Appreciation Day. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to relax, recharge, and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our amazing team members. As a result, our offices will be closing at noon, we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to our valued customers and partners. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to catching up with you when we return to our regular schedule on Monday! 🎉💼

Jeff, Joe and Sean spent some time this week at the Lorain County Fair for the Lorain County 🤗 Hands-On Career Pathways Expo. Over the two days we met and taught over 3,700 middle and high school students from Lorain County how to cut 💪and thread black iron pipe like a boss! 🧑‍🔧👨‍🔧

We love interacting with our youth and the workforce of the future and teaching them about the trades!

As part of our United Way of Ashland County Pacesetter Campaign, we have started a Queen of Hearts 👸♥ Drawing and decided to open it up to the public! Each Friday through the end of the calendar year (or until we have a winner) we'll draw 4 lucky tickets and they'll get to pick a remaining card # of their choosing in the order they are drawn 🃏. If the card they choose is the Queen of Hearts 😍, they win 1/2 the pot and the other 1/2 will be added to our campaign total. If there are no winners, all the tickets are discarded and a new drawing starts the following week. Feel free to stop in to either office M-F, 7 to 4 or use the QR code below to visit our microsite and purchase your tickets via CC, but first call in and ask to speak to Emily so she can keep track and call you if you win! Last week the total pot was $52 (winner gets $26) and we had no winners. Good Luck! 🍀
