Started this patching/painting of woodpecker holes during the first snow of the season. Finished it on a warmer day. Filled about a dozen holes after a dozen were previously patched earlier in the year. Thanks Ed F. for holding the ladder for me.

Repairing water damaged drywall from a leaking skylight in this bathroom required dropping all of the old popcorn textured drywall and installing all new. Getting to the top of the 13'' skylight opening was quite tight and 3rd hand poles were needed again for holding up the new ceiling drywall.

Was unseasonably hot while building this 6' privacy fence. Getting the auger stuck in tree roots on the first hole and taking 4 hours to dig it out was a sign of some of the challenges to come. Big thanks to Pam for being my "3rd hand" during half of the build.

Removing the popcorn ceiling and replacing with a knockdown texture is a great way to update the look of a room in your home. This job is 90% prep work putting up plastic protection, and very labor intensive and messy. But the end result will be worth it.

Another Pro tip for DIY'ers. My new favorite tool - Klein circuit breaker finder. Almost all electrical panels have poorly marked or unreadable circuit breakers. This tool is very accurate and you can feel confident the proper circuit has been shutdown before handling the wiring.

Double ceiling fan job today. Thank goodness for my Gorilla ladder which got me to the top of the vaulted ceiling. Also installed an after market remote control. Pro tip for DYI'ers - tape all loose wire nuts and wires as any fan vibration will cause mind numbing tapping noises and sleepless nights. Ask me how I know.

Have a dishwasher that is not cleaning the dishes like it used to? Typically an issue with a clogged filter, pump impeller, food chopper blade or drain hose. I've fixed this problem on Kemmore and Whirlpool brands but the same idea for all manufacturers.
