We are incredibly proud of our very own Heather Alderink and Genny Cross for taking the leap! This year, they are representing UHL as part of Team NAWIC - Minneapolis/St Paul Chapter in the 2026 Polar Plunge.

They’re braving the icy waters of Lake Nokomis to raise vital funds for the Special Olympics, ensuring athletes have the resources, equipment, and opportunities they need to compete and shine.

☃️ NAWIC Chapter 164 is Freezin' for a Reason! ☃️

For the second year in a row our chapter is taking the leap into the cold water to support Special Olympics! We are so excited that this event overlaps with our official WIC week as well!

⭐ We will be meeting at 2:00pm at the MOA. We will start at Buffalo Wild Wings to fuel up for the jump! Sponsored by McGough
⭐ Corporate hour to jump is around 3:00pm with an official jump time to come soon!
⭐ There are buses that will take us from MOA to Lake Nokomis and back!
⭐ Attire will be red tutus, PPE, and our 2026 NAWIC Polar Plunge t-shirts sponsored by Sun Control of Minnesota!
