A momentous day today. The Abbot Library Building Renovation Committee (BRC) finished it's job. Our last meeting was this afternoon; a combination Zoom and in life at the library. In August 2019, (5.5 years ago) Phyllis Smith, past chairman of Abbot Public Library Board of Trustees asked me to join the BRC to represent the Driftwood Garden Club. From the planning phase through the construction phase, it's been a pleasure to work with my fellow members, some of who are not in the photo.

A great article about Pollinator Gardens. Bradford Design Associates designed the front landscape for the Abbot Library. Pollinator plants selected by Bradford Design Associates will be installed in the Abbot courtyard at the end of September as part of Driftwood Garden Clubs ongoing care of the library gardens. The library plant beds will be filled with pollinators next year!

Next Saturday! Join us at the Masonic where you’ll find a huge selection of perennials dug from Marblehead gardens. We will also have a large selection of annuals, herbs, Dahlias, Orchids and other flowering plants. Proceeds will support our landscape restoration for the front of the newly renovated library. The landscape plan was designed by me! After the sale, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the Spring Celebration sponsored by Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.

A major transformation to a small space. The old spa (50 sf) was replaced with a new one (92 sf) and maintained views of Salem Harbor. Missing: Stainless steel horizontal railing. Thank you to Pools and Masonary.

This is an amazing transformation of an outdoor terrace space. Still waiting for steps from the house, railing and plantings. Now the clients can have a party! Thank you to McLaughlin Masonry for bringing my design to life.

The client with the large back yard plan that I posted a week ago, is moving forward with the first phase of the wrap around terrace. They chose Unilock Umbriano Winter Marvel concrete pavers. After living with a pea stone mess for 3 years, they are so excited to have an area for gardening and entertaining.

The front yard received a total makeover last spring. This is the design for the rear yard with the theme of a sculpture garden. The clients wanted an alternative to a swimming pool. Lot size is .5 acre.
