Well, this is what’s happening this week!
Austin and Ted have been hammering on this garage, siding, window and doors replacement !
The siding is the LP smart side, supplied by Lakeside Lumber. Eric and his guys were great. We brought over the dimensions and they figured out everything we would need for materials and so far it’s working out pretty good.

Austin and I are making some progress! The new entryway at the Timberwolf Inn is getting cabinets installed today! I think the log trim turned out great,,, my God it’s so beefy😂
We still have an epoxy and cedar bench and some shelves to make, but it’s coming together!!!

Hello friends!
I have not been posting much lately, been kinda busy lately (taking on a restaurant, bar and motel biz will do that, I hear😂)
Had to get this one out there though. Austin and I designed, built and finished a bar top for the American Legion in Taconite, Mn.
It’s what I would call a sister to our bar top at the Timberwolf Inn (Marcell, Mn.)
All locally grown “Native White Cedar”. We selected and rough cut the wood with help from our ole buddy Cheeks, over in Talmoon. Austin straight cut the planks. The lumber was sized, planed and attached to a 3/4” plywood base. All was built atop a sturdy 2x4 crib/frame for hauling from our shop to the Legion hall.
With a little help from my brother Johnny and our buddy James, we strapped the 25’ long beast on to our equipment trailer and towed it the 50 minutes out of the backwoods to the “bustling” town of Taconite!
The ride was a little nerve racking, still thanking the Gods that that went perfect!
A whole bunch of good ole boys were there to help us carry it in and the new top went in without a hitch.
After a few adjustments to the wall, a few stout brackets and a quick sanding, I started pouring the final coats of clear epoxy. A total of 6 coats were applied and the final finish was fantastic!

Finally getting a chance to get some pics posted of what Austin and I have up to lately.
We have been building some stuff over at the Timberwolf for the bar and dining room. The bar area is not yet completed as we have some stone to apply to the walls behind the bar. Our new hotel check-in desk and hostess stand turned out sweet. We have been working on a new house, basically completing all the finish work starting with the taping of the drywall and now we are working on trim and cabinets. We did a nice size job over On Turtle part of it was to restore these walls that were previously papered, with two layers of paper, which is never good!
That one was a little bit of a pain but we managed to get it back to perfect. We are hoping to start getting some nice weather as we have lots of outside work for this summer!

Austin and I just wrapped up this cool job over on Smith Lake.
We stripped the existing maple staircase, built the new rail/spindle system, put down all new poplar baseboards with shoe molding, sanded and refinished all the windows and finished it all off with a couple coats of metallic gold paint! It turned out fantastic. Eric, over at Lakeside Lumber guided us through the process of obtaining all of the materials for the railing system, couldn’t have done it without his help! The variety of choices they can acquire for projects like this one is almost endless!!!
