It's that time of year again for the Spring Seed Library Kickoff! This is a great opportunity to get free vegetable garden seeds and interact with our Jackson County Master Gardener Volunteers.

We will be set up with an "Ask a Master Gardener Volunteer" table to answer all your vegetable garden questions. We will also have a fun a craft for the children. See you on March 7 at the Jackson County Public Library!

You must be a library card holder to participate. Don't have one yet? Stop in at the Marianna branch of the Jackson County Public Library and get yours today!

Great news! ✨The Jackson County Master Gardener Volunteer Plant & Garden Help Desk will be re-opening for the spring starting February 2. ✨

Master Gardener Volunteers will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at their Help Desk located at the Jackson County Extension office to answer your plant and garden questions. 🌱🪴The volunteers will be able to assist with general Florida gardening questions, w**d identification, lawn issues, and more! Our Plant & Garden Help Desk is seasonal and will close for the spring on May 30.

The Jackson County Extension office is located at 2741 Penn Ave, Marianna, FL and is open from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. If a volunteer is not available to take your call or walk in question that day, you will be assisted open the following day the desk is open.

We are almost halfway through the month of October, which means the Peanut Butter Challenge is almost halfway over! 🥜🥜

During the month of October, we are collecting peanut butter jars for Backpacks for Kids - Jackson County, Inc. and Innovative Charities of Northwest Florida, Inc.

We are challenging our community to be FOR Jackson County and helping those in need this holiday season. In addition to our donations, the Florida Peanut Producers and Florida Peanut Federation contribute a donation match to our selected donation recipient organizations.
