It’s been a minute since we’ve made a post, so here’s one of our recent projects.
Our client had someone build them a staircase; rightly they were not happy with what they received and asked us to rectify it, we removed the old stair case (thankfully as it wasn’t anchored and was barely attached at the top) and began designing, planning and constructing a brand new bespoke staircase for them.
As if it isn’t obviously, the images with the ❌ are the stairs we removed!

The latest big project was wrapped up last week, this old cabin roof was in desperate need of replacement, the original roof was built on debarked logs and then chopped around and patched up over the years and rodents had made it their home. The old shingles and sheathing were removed; this exposed the dire state of the insulation mixed with everything the rodents have left behind. A bio hazard suit was adorned for the next stage of cleaning years of debris out and neutralising the area.
New I-beam roof rafters were then fitted, counterleaver supports engineered for the overhang and new sheathing attached and shingling done along with relocating the stove pipe for regulatory clearance.
We’re fully booked through August, but anyone needed any work done, we are currently booking in for September.

Our client asked for a chicken coop with a seperate storage area and they wanted to use up some of the building supplies they had from days gone by; the deck, framing and roofing were all newly supplied, but everything else was built with what they had available. A great project and the chicks seem pretty pleased with their new home too.

It’s been a busy start to the season, we’ve done woodland clearance projects, built raised flower beds, hung doors ans fitted trim, repaired gutters, cleared culverts, removed a roof (we’ll be replacing it when we get a full week of sun!) and so much more… we still have space for a few projects this summer, so get in touch if you need anything, theres also a regular customer slot available!

Last year I constructed a basic Wood Shed; pallet base, 2x4 frame and slab wood siding. It works great at blending into the woodland and allowing plenty of ventilation for the logs.

The customer was quoted $600 to replace their external door (door not included), I had it done for them in a few hours at a fraction of the cost; all spaced out, insulated and we also disposed of their old door and frame for them. 💪
