Time to bring your precious, seasonal plants in soon. Here in the Mid-Ohio Valley we expect sub-freezing temperatures by the weekend. Keep your favorite flowers and other plants healthy throughout the winter season. Tip: Now is the time to take cuttings from your favorite perennials or trees, yes trees, to get rooted and grow over the winter and then plant outdoors in the spring. I have done p***y willows and other semihard woods this way. Indoors there is no end of season. Happy Growing!

Reminder: Christmas Cactus Start 6-8 weeks before you want it to start blooming by allowing only 12 hours of light a day with 12 hours of total darkness. Mid-October is an ideal time to start the change in light schedule to get your blossoms started by late November or early December. Happy Growing.
