QUESTION OF THE DAY 🤔
Why does carpet sometimes need to be restretched?
Over time, carpet can develop wrinkles, ripples or loose areas. Common causes include heavy traffic, moving furniture, changes in temperature and humidity, or carpet that wasn’t stretched tightly enough during installation.
Water damage or too much moisture during cleaning can also loosen the carpet backing and cause rippling. And every now and then, the carpet itself may have a defective backing.
A professional restretch can often pull the carpet tight again and re-secure it, helping it look better, wear more evenly and reduce trip hazards.
