Today’s spotlight goes to the yellow African marigold — also known as the flower equivalent of turning the saturation all the way up. 🌼

These things do not know how to be subtle.

Big blooms, bold color, and the kind of flower that makes a garden bed look like you actually had a plan when you planted it.

One thing I really like about African marigolds is that they pull double duty — they’re not just pretty, they’re actually useful in the garden too. They’ve been a longtime favorite for borders, veggie gardens, and anywhere that needs a little more life and color.

And if you’ve never grown them before, they’re a pretty solid choice if you want something that gives a lot of visual payoff without acting like a dramatic houseplant on its third emotional breakdown.
