Did you know Florida is the second largest producer of strawberries in the U.S? University of Florida is responsible for breeding most (maybe all?) of the best growing Florida varieties. I just ordered 80 bare root strawberries from Whitwam Organics. Iā€™m excited to finally get my hands on Florida specific varieties!! Florida Encore and Florida Ember coming to the garden in October.

*Cucumber
*Yellow and green beans

Pruning celosia in the GreenStalk Garden thatā€™s gone to seed. They should be ā€œcut and come againā€, so when you prune old blossoms it encourages them to bloom again!

Chickens proof of life! Havenā€™t had any new hawk intruders, nor evidence of attempted entry.

This in the other corner of the garden has had more pests, so I put organza bags around the fruit to help protect them.
