We have gained a lot of new followers recently and we thought a reintroduction was in order:
We are Kevin and Kayla Arrowood. We have been married 26 years in July. We have 3 beautiful grown children and 2 bonus kids. My chidren are my entire world - my everything.
We started 6 years ago in a store front on our hometowns Main Street after a year and covid made it extremely difficult for us and our plants to thrive to full potential. Our focus was on hard to find tropical houseplants but the space and rent forced us to have lots and lots of common plants. Plants don’t like inside old buildings with little light and poor humidity. It was a fight.
So we decided we would make our own greenhouse. And that’s just what we did. Also being able to simply bring back our focus to our favorites plants and not just filling a store. We planned on the time frame being quicker but my health battled me pretty strong for a while and we waited.
3 years ago we opened back up in our very large and beautiful greenhouse at our home. It’s had some learning curves. Helene did not help. We’ve gained money, lost money and burnt money all while seeing some of our customers from the beginning and meeting some wonderful new ones along the way.
Kevin loves cacti and funky leaves and textures. However I adore a long dark leaves and am obsessed with anthuriums.
