Last night was the official pinning ceremony for the 30 lateral transfers, civilian paramedics, and new recruits that were hired onto the department this year. This almost doubles the size of our department staffing and allows us to continue to provide full time advanced life support and fire coverage from 4 fire houses, covering approximately 130 square miles. We also promoted 2 members to the rank of captain and 1 to lieutenant. Congratulations to all of you and welcome to South Madison Fire Territory and the start of an amazing career!!
