🚨 STATEN ISLAND POOL LEAK - BRAND NEW LINER... BUT THE LINER WASN'T THE PROBLEM 🚨

This Staten Island customer had a brand-new liner installed just 2 weeks ago. Almost immediately afterward, the pool started losing about 3/4" of water per day.

Naturally, the customer was concerned that the new liner was leaking.

After performing our leak detection process using specialized equipment, proven testing methods, and years of experience, we were able to determine that the liner was NOT the source of the water loss. The actual culprit was the pool light.

Once we identified the light as the source of the leak, we suited up in our scuba gear, removed the light, and confirmed the leak (see video). It turned out there had been a previous repair made to the light that had failed.

The good news? The customer's brand-new liner was perfectly fine, and we were able to repair the light leak and get everything sealed back up.

The customer was extremely relieved to learn they didn't have a problem with their new liner and could finally stop worrying about where all that water was going.

🚨 POOL LEAK FOUND IN SOMERSET COUNTY 🚨

A homeowner in Belle Mead, NJ had just completed a beautiful renovation of their gunite pool only 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the pool was leaking before the renovation... and it was still leaking afterward.

The pool was losing about ½" of water per day, and despite efforts from both the homeowner and the renovation company, no one could determine where the water was going.

Within 15 minutes of arriving on-site, we identified the source of the leak, the pool light.

The best part? We figured it out WITHOUT even getting into the pool.

Using specialized leak detection equipment and years of experience, we were able to narrow the problem down before ever putting on scuba gear. Once we knew where to focus, we suited up, removed the light, confirmed the leak, and made the repair.

🎥 Check out the video to see the leak for yourself.

This is a great example of why leak detection is more than putting on scuba gear. The right equipment, testing methods, and experience can save hours of guesswork and unnecessary repairs.

🚨 Monmouth County Pool Leak Detection - 2-3 Inches of Water Loss Per Day.🚨

This pool was in Manalapan, NJ. Homeowner is very hands-on and does a lot of his own work. He had been trying to track down this leak but simply couldn't figure it out.

The pool was losing 2-3 inches of water per day, including nearly 2 inches overnight after the hose was turned off at midnight the night before we arrived.

Within 15 minutes of our initial testing and diagnosis, we had a strong suspicion that one of the pool's return lines was the problem. We pressure tested the line to confirm it, and sure enough, the pipe was broken underground.

The next step was pinpointing the exact location of the break. Using specialized tools and equipment, we were able to create the leak noise and actually let the homeowner hear the sound of water escaping underground beneath the patio. Once he heard it for himself, there was no doubt he made the right decision to have us out.

We marked the patio where the repair needed to be made and temporarily isolated the broken line to stop the water loss until permanent repairs are done.

Finding a broken pipe is important. Pinpointing the exact location of the break is what MATTERS and saves homeowners from unnecessary digging and costly repairs.

🚨 Mercer County - Renovated Last Summer... Leaking Since 🚨

This indoor pool in West Windsor Township underwent a major renovation last summer. Unfortunately, the pool has been losing water ever since the project was completed.

The homeowner called us in to get answers.

In less than an hour, we diagnosed the problem, pressure tested the plumbing, identified a broken return line, and pinpointed the exact location of the underground break.

In a situation like this, pinpointing is critical. Since the pool is located inside the home, unnecessary demolition can quickly become invasive and expensive. By accurately locating the break, the repair can be targeted to the exact area where the pipe is broken.

✅ Problem diagnosed in under an hour
✅ Broken return line confirmed
✅ Exact underground location pinpointed
✅ No unnecessary demolition or guesswork

If your pool is losing water, let us find the cause and pinpoint the problem.

FOLLOW UP - Morris County, NJ

Earlier this month, we posted about this “pool” (really a giant spa) with 18 jets, a waterfall, and 14 plumbing lines that had been leaking for years.

Customer had already dug up sections of the yard with a backhoe trying to find the problem with no luck.

Well… here’s the follow up.

Customer excavated the area we marked out and found the break EXACTLY where we pinpointed it - almost 4 FEET down. The issue ended up being a glue fitting that had completely popped apart underground.

This is why accurate leak detection matters. Digging blindly on a system like this could turn into a disaster real fast - especially with this much underground plumbing.

Instead of tearing apart the entire yard, we were able to narrow it down to the exact area of the break and save the customer from a much bigger excavation project.

Customer was extremely happy once they uncovered it and saw we were spot on.

STOP GUESSING - PINPOINT THE PROBLEM FIRST.

PREVIOUS “REPAIR” FAILED

This fiberglass pool on Staten Island was leaking from the wall return fitting. The fitting had been repaired previously, but the repair completely failed.

The customer had no idea the fitting was repaired in the first place because the original company never explained what was done. Then during winterization, the pool company installed a winter plug into the wall return, which ended up damaging the old repair.

Rather than continuing to put band-aids on a damaged fitting, we recommended replacing the entire fitting so the problem could be solved the right way and not become an ongoing issue every season. We will be going back out this week to make a PROPER repair.

This is exactly why proper diagnosis, communication, and long-term solutions matter.

SPA WAS LOSING 1" OF WATER EVERY 2 HOURS

This spa in Deal, NJ was losing water FAST whenever the system was running. Since this is a vacation home, the homeowner wasn’t there enough to really monitor what was happening or help provide information to help us narrow down the issue - so their pool service company brought us in to figure it out.

We pressure tested the spa plumbing system and confirmed a broken spa jet line underground. After identifying the leaking line, we used our specialized equipment to pinpoint the exact spot of the break so the repair could be made without ripping up all the stone around the spa.

This is exactly why full diagnostics that include pressure testing matters. Without properly testing the plumbing, you’re just guessing.

LEAK FOUND IN BRAND NEW POOL!

Brand new gunite pool in Stockton, NJ - the pool was losing 1" of water per day less, than a month after being filled. The pool builder contacted us to help locate the issue so they could get it resolved quickly and correctly.

We pressure tested the plumbing and confirmed a broken return line underground. Using our specialized equipment, we were able to pinpoint the exact location of the break so the repair could be focused to one specific area instead of unnecessary digging throughout the brand new backyard.

The lines had already been pressure tested earlier this spring before the pool was filled, but with all the construction going on around the yard afterward, something must have happened along the way.

Credit to the pool company on this one - no excuses, no finger pointing, no wasting time. Their only concern was finding the problem and getting it fixed for the customer.

Beautiful backyard and a beautiful pool - now they know exactly where the problem is.

🚨 POOL LIGHT LEAK FOUND IN PRINCETON, NJ 🚨

This customer in Princeton, NJ was losing approximately 1-2 inches of water per day.

Within 15 minutes of arriving, we were able to determine that the pool light was the source of the leak, before even getting into the pool.

How? Because leak detection is about much more than scuba diving. We use specialized equipment and proven testing methods to quickly narrow down the problem and confirm exactly where the water is escaping.

In this case, the pool light had been repaired previously, but that repair had failed. We removed the old material and made a new underwater repair to permanently stop the leak.
