We replaced the header above this patio door that had rotted away over the years due to water intrusion.

The homeowner noticed water stains on the interior drywall and along the window frame and gave us a call to inspect. The outside 2x12 was nearly non-existent and the interior side was not far from the same. The header was replaced and the window properly sealed to prevent further water intrusion.

Rule of thumb when it comes to water damage: if you see surface stains/damage, what you can't see under it will be a whole lot worse.
