Looking ahead to Fall 🍂Our Fall Internship Opportunities are open for applications!

These non-paid internships with our team, help build your experience, resumes, and provides career building opportunities! You gain valuable, hands on experience in a way to help you prepare to join the wildlife care field.

Wildlife Husbandry Internships include:
· Participation in the full rehabilitation process: handling, feeding, preparing enclosures, meal preparation and so much more.
· Minimum commitment of 10 hrs/week.
· All shifts are between 3-6 hours long and will be performed at our facility in Candler.
· Start and end dates (Aug - Dec) are flexible to accommodate academic schedules.

While rare in North Carolina, red foxes can have multiple color variations, including black, silver, or a cross between red and silver. The easiest way to tell the difference between red and gray foxes is their tails! Gray foxes have black-tipped tails, and red foxes have white-tipped tails.
