Marshall! It's that time of year! ☀️
We have received your phone calls and know that you would all like to begin spring yard cleanup ASAP.
BUT, we would like you to encourage you to WAIT a *little* bit longer (your neighbors will get over it). This is for the benefit of the *ecological system* that you control in your yard. We hope this feels monumental to you, because it is.
You see, most native pollinators and beneficial insects, such as ladybugs and butterfly larvae, shelter inside hollow stems and under leaf litter in your yard. Removing debris *too early* DETROYS these insects before they have a chance to emerge. 🦋🐞🐝
Here in Marshall, it is best to WAIT until April to mid-May (we understand...it's hard), before beginning spring cleanup. This allows native bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects to emerge unharmed to spread their love in your gardens! 🌷🪻🌿
That being said, call/message us *earlier* than that to get on our schedule! We can't wait to come help you create and maintain the most visually appealing, ecologically effective space 🦋🪻🌱
P.S. For those of you who are looking for trimming/pruning: We are coming to the tail-end of PRIME TIME for that! It is best to do your heavy trimming while your trees/shrubs are still dormant. If this is what you are looking for, you are automatically a top-priority customer. Call/message ASAP.
